Pontoon - Where it Began

When we look back at how Pontoon came to life, it feels less like a business decision and more like a natural unfolding of what we’ve always been searching for.

For years, we worked side by side in different cities, time zones, and cultures. From Los Angeles to Sydney to Europe, and more airports than we can count, we built brands, grew businesses, and shaped lives that were anything but traditional. We learned how to adapt quickly, how to keep moving, and how to create stability while in motion. But along the way, we realized something was missing.

No matter where we were in the world, we kept longing for a deeper sense of community, the kind of network we could tap into wherever we were. The kind that can only come from women who understand what it means to live with one foot in one place and another somewhere else. We couldn’t find it, so we decided to build it.

Pontoon was born from sisterhood. As sisters, we’ve always had each other to lean on, for advice, for encouragement, for laughter, and sometimes just for quiet understanding. That bond has been our anchor in every season of life and a big reason why we’ve been able to live in constant motion. Our relationship provided the stability we needed, and it’s what made us realize how powerful it could be to create a space where women everywhere could feel that same sense of support, the kind of support that allows you to take big risks, say yes to every adventure, and design a life beyond even your wildest dreams.

We chose the name Pontoon because it reflects what we wanted to create: a floating platform that moves with you, holds you up wherever you are, and connects you to something bigger. It’s not about being tied to one place. It’s about belonging everywhere.

At its core, Pontoon is about connection. It’s about women lifting each other up, sharing knowledge, and creating a network that feels both inspiring and grounding. It’s about making the world feel smaller through a sense of belonging, yet bigger through the freedom of effortless, comfortable travel and discovery.

We believe that when women come together, something extraordinary happens. Ideas get sparked. Opportunities multiply. Friendships form that last across oceans. And the feeling of being alone in this lifestyle starts to disappear. Pontoon isn’t just about building community in the classic sense, though events and online forums are part of it. It’s also about building connections through business. By creating a network of trusted perks and partnerships across the world, we’re not only giving women a soft landing wherever they go, but also amplifying female-owned businesses and fostering connection through mutual success.
